Baptism Team/ Bautismos
The Catholic Christian community has the
responsibility to render guidance and assistance to families in
training their children in living the faith daily and creating an
atmosphere in the domestic Church for faith and love to grow and
flourish. Infant Baptism Team(s) consisting of clergy and laity
welcome families into the community and guide them in ongoing
formation. Infant Baptism Preparation Classes are offered several
times a year. The team(s) also help out at the baptism ceremony.
Teams are needed on a rotating basis. On the job training plus
opportunities to participate in diocesan offered workshops.
Bazaar 2008
Always in need of volunteers for booths
on Bazaar Day in May. Also need volunteers for functions prior to
Bazaar Day. To get involved, call the parish office.
Catholic Woman’s Organization (CWO)
All parish women, both single and
married, speakers of any language, 18 years of age and older, are
members. Become active in this group that serves the parish in the
areas of baptism, sacristy maintenance, and family assistance in
times of death and serious illness. Aid with general parish
receptions. Enjoy community with parish women through educational,
spiritual, social and service opportunities. Cooperate with and
support other parish organizations for the benefit of the parish.
Support the activities of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, of
which CWO is an affiliate.
Daughters of the King
An Order for Women who are devoted to
Prayer, Service, and Evangelism. Open to all Catholic women wanting
to be of service to our Parish Community. Meetings are held on
the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. For more

Eucharistic
Ministers/ Ministros de Eucaristia
Appointed by the Pastor. Training
provided.
Finance Council
Persons with fiscal experience in the
management of large budgets advise the Pastor on parish financial
matters.
Funerals/ Funerales
“The responsibility for the ministry of
consolation rests with the believing community, which heeds the
words and example of the Lord Jesus: ‘Blessed are they who mourn;
they shall be consoled’ (Mt. 5:3). Each Christian shares in their
ministry according to the various gifts and offices in the Church.”
(OCF #9). In order to bring support and strength to those who
suffer the loss of those whom they love, volunteers are needed to
assist family and clergy with some of the routine tasks. Such
assistance may allow members of the family to devote time to
planning the funeral rites with the priest and other ministers and
may give the family time for prayer and mutual comfort.
Guadalupaņas
Join the group that promotes devotion to
the Virgin of Guadalupe and plans the once a year Maņanitas and Mass
on December 12.
Knights of Columbus
Catholic men who speak any language are
invited to join an organization dedicated to promoting the concepts
of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Picnics, dances,
parties, athletic events and spiritual activities promote family
involvement. Knights support priests, the Catholic Church, and
community causes.
Lectors/ Lectores
Proclaim scripture at liturgies.
Training provided.

Liturgy Committee
Volunteer to serve as a Sacristan (Mass
set-up) or to
launder purificators a few times a year by calling the parish office
at 713-774-7475.
Maintenance
To volunteer, contact our pastor, Father
Wayne Wilkerson.
Building and Grounds Committee
Offer your expertise for quarterly
inspections of the physical facilities to formulate recommendations
for upkeep.
Music Ministry
Choir members, cantors, guitarists,
flute and other instrumentalists are always
needed.
Nursery
Donations of cleaning supplies, snacks,
and children’s books are always welcome.
Parish Nurses
Individuals with expert minds and caring
hands which provide health screenings, literature and volunteer
programs for the Parish. Nurses are needed, especially those that
speak Spanish.
Parish School
Volunteers are needed in several areas.
Senior citizens may volunteer in a mentoring program. Contributions
for financial assistance to needy students are always welcome.
Pastoral Council
Advise pastor on a variety of pastoral
issues.
Prayer and Spirituality
Adorers for Adoration of the
Lord present in the Eucharist in our chapel are always needed. Call
for times available.
Grupo de Oracion
All in need of prayer are welcome to
gather in the presence of the Lord in the chapel after the 7 pm
Spanish Mass on Monday nights.

Religious Education
Volunteer to answer the phone and stuff
envelopes in the RE office. Donations of office supplies are always
welcome.
Respect Life/ Gabriel Project
Join others who coordinate pro-life
activities between the Parish and the Diocese. Provide material
assistance for needy mothers and their babies.
School Board (Formerly the
School Commission)
Tell your friends about our school.
Financial contributions are always welcome.
School Foundation
Established to build an endowment fund
to help support elementary Catholic education in the parish. The
Pastor appoints Board members.
Scouts
Become involved in Scouts. Donations of
camping and scouting equipment are always welcome. Cub Scouts, Boy
Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Crew 80 programs available.
Senior Adults
All Seniors (GET UP and Goers) are
invited to participate in spiritual, educational, and social
activities.
Southwest Area Ministries
Volunteers always needed to assist at
SWAM. Training provided.
Sponsor Couples
If you would like to volunteer, contact
the church office.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
Volunteers, especially Spanish speakers,
are needed to visit with families who are seeking assistance.
Donations of furniture, appliances, and money are always welcome.
Please pray for the busy volunteers.
Crown Financial Ministries Bible
Study
Deepen your relationship with God in a
small group as you explore what Scripture teaches about earning,
spending, saving, giving, investing and getting out of debt. Ten
weeks. Two hours per week.
Transportation/ Transporte
Drivers needed to pick up passengers
from 2-3 locations with the church van and bring them to Masses.
Ushers & Greeters/ Acomodadores
Men and women high school age and older
are invited to serve as ushers. Ushers provide helpful assistance
in welcoming and seating people at Mass. They gather the collection
and perform other tasks as requested by the pastor.
Wedding Coordination
Volunteers needed to help the couple and
the wedding entourage in the celebration of the Sacrament of
Matrimony.
Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry
